HOW WE SERVE
Comprehensive Care That Keeps Seniors Home With Dignity
The Sender Retreat Foundation has a partnership with two licensed centers in Volusia County, both open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Personalized Health Monitoring
Personalized care plans track vital health metrics including blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, and height. Licensed professionals administer and monitor medications throughout the day, ensuring each participant receives the clinical oversight they need to stay healthy and safe at home.

On-Site Therapies
Physical and occupational therapy improve mobility, manage pain, and preserve function as prescribed by a physician. Our licensed therapists work with each participant to maintain independence in daily activities and reduce fall risk, the leading cause of permanent loss of independence in older adults.

Daily Meals and Nutrition
Two meals and one snack are provided each day. All menus meet the requirements of the Florida Adult Care Food and Nutrition Program and are approved by a Registered Dietitian, ensuring proper nutrition and enjoyment.

Personal Care and Hygiene
Staff assist with showers, grooming, and other activities of daily living so participants can maintain personal hygiene and dignity. We treat every person with the respect and care they deserve.

Structured Social and Cognitive Activities
Crafts, games, music, group conversation, and senior companionship keep participants mentally engaged and emotionally connected. Social isolation is a leading cause of depression and decline in older adults; our activities combat loneliness and foster community.

Additional Support & Resources
We assist residents and families by providing referrals to healthcare providers, community services, assistance programs, and other local resources that support health, independence, and overall well-being.

Why Choose Sender Retreat Foundation
The Sender Retreat Foundation brings 30+ years of direct experience in senior care, founder credibility, and a deep commitment to serving the underserved. Ana Rosa Randolph's background as a Registered Dietitian, Licensed Dietitian, and trained Assisted Living Administrator means every aspect of our program—nutrition, health monitoring, activities, and personal care—is rooted in professional best practice and real compassion. We are not a commercial chain. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making sure that seniors who could not otherwise afford quality care can stay at home with dignity, surrounded by family and community.
Our Adopt a Senior program specifically funds adult day care for low-income participants, removing the financial barrier that forces many families into nursing home placement. We measure success not by profit but by outcomes: healthier seniors, stronger families, and a community that ages with grace.
